MapBees is designed for self-serve location analysis. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the website and the interactive map.

Information We Process

We may process technical usage data required to operate and secure the service, such as basic request metadata, browser information, and aggregated product analytics.

We do not require account registration to use core map functionality. If you contact us directly, we may process the information you provide in that communication.

Files You Add (Your Data)

You can add a file of your own points to the map under Your data. The file is read in your browser and kept in your browser's own storage; MapBees never stores it. Each map request that reads it carries only its hexes and their numbers, which the server holds in memory while it draws the map and then forgets. The name you give the file never leaves your browser. Remove it under Your data at any time.

You can also add a GeoJSON or KML file of areas in the Territory tool. It is read in your browser too, and its areas are kept in your browser with your Territory project; MapBees never stores the file. A request that reads one of these areas carries its outline, so the server can find the hexes inside it, holds it in memory while it answers and then forgets. The areas' names never leave your browser. Remove them in the Territory tool at any time.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide, maintain, monitor, and improve MapBees, including reliability and abuse prevention.

Third-Party Services

MapBees may rely on third-party infrastructure and analytics providers to deliver website functionality. Those providers may process data according to their own privacy terms.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
